After nearly 25 years in the health care industry, Phyllis Rameizl
founded PR&A. She recalls why she launched the firm in 1988,
"I saw firsthand the increasing number of changes and challenges
facing the industry and realized that solutions required efficient
and effective clinician-friendly systems systems that adapt
to industry needs and trends while ensuring professionals ability
to practice in accordance with their professional standards. Creating
available solutions and systems that merge good management and clinically
logical approaches was, and still is, my source for success."
Experienced
Phyllis ability
to realize and provide the necessary "solutions" came from extensive
experience and top-notch training. A graduate of the prestigious
NYU Bellevue School of Nursing, she learned not only the art and
science of nursing, but also the basic skills of survival and success
in what she considers, "one of the most challenging and beauracratic
healthcare arenas." Phyllis clinical and management experience
in acute and Long-term care is a story of progressive growth and
achievement in some of the nations leading institutions.
Educated
Upon receiving a BA
in nursing, Phyllis began her career as an RN, while concurrently
continuing her academic studies at C.W. Post College and Adelphi
and Syracuse Universities. She earned a dual Masters degrees
in Community Health and Education, and Geriatric Clinical Specialist
certification. Phyllis then pursued post-graduate studies in systems
analysis, management and business communications.
Proven
Phyllis expertise
has earned her the privilege and responsibility of serving on national,
state, city, and community agencies and boards. She has published
articles on long term care management and has received several awards
and recognition for outstanding achievements that benefit the health
care industry. Phyllis has served as an adjunct faculty member at
Long Island University and visiting faculty to Hofstra, George Washington,
and Syracuse Universities, among others. At Long Island University,
she taught Quality Assurance in Health Care and Health Care Marketing.
She is a contributing author to the Encyclopedia of Elder Care,
to be published by New York University later this year.
The strengths that Phyllis brings to the long term care industry
are, according to several PR&A clients,
"unparalleled." Besides her commitment to excellence by "doing
whats right", she has the unique ability to combine a
theory-based approach to systems analysis while implementing simple
and effective strategies and techniques for achieving desired outcomes.
The CEO of a leading, high-performing healthcare and rehabilitation
center recently stated:
"Ms. Ramzel has been significantly
instrumental in our long-standing success."
Aside from an "insatiable passion" for her work, from a personal
perspective Phyllis is the proud and tireless mother of five, and
grandmother to two. Her concerns for maintaining a wellness environment
extend beyond her profession and concretely to her garden and her
active support for environmental causes. She enjoys tennis and golf.
