PRI Communications develops forms and systems for cost-effective and time-efficient medical record documentation.

This sister company of PR&A was launched in response to an increasing and overwhelming industry-expressed need for effective medical record tools due to their frustration and quandary with failed attempts to develop fully serviceable medical record instruments.

PR&A, through PRI Communications, put their extensive experience and mind share to work and created the needed forms and systems that long term care providers/clinicians must have, under PPS, to ensure documentation of pertinent data and ease and efficiency in validating information for Minimum Data Set (MDS) purposes. PRI Communications offers providers policies and procedures for each medical record form.

PRI Communications has further developed objective quality assurance monitoring tools that provide management staff with a means for tangible and measurable indicators of assurance.

It is essential for those in the industry to understand that the MDS is not an assessment of the resident, but of the resident’s medical record. As such, upon an external audit, if the medical record for the given period does not reflect the responses recorded on the MDS, the service or condition becomes invalid -- as does the patient classification and the reimbursement therefrom.

Since its debut in 1988, PRI Communications has realized enormous success through meeting the significant documentation need with efficient tools and proven systems.
